Puppy Bear's Bear Adoption Site!!!:

Bet you didn't know this....teddies hate the lawn, lawn tarps, pavement, parking lots, etc. What can you do about it....let us adopt your bears! Some people collect Steiffs and Muffy's. We collect fluffy, squishy, cuddle bears. They don't need no brand name here! Or mint with tags either, we cut the tags off!! Plastic ear darts are cruel!

Read on for how to place your bear in "Puppy Bear's Home for Orphan Teddies".

#1 - These bears are NEVER for resale. We adopt them, not sell them. Teddies are the one thing you will notice we don't sell. Except for a few NAB/VIB's, etc. we're selling for a friend (I don't even like VIB bears...they have no fur??). Seriously, teddies cover what used to be the couch, the chairs, and even fill wagons , and overflow shelves!
#2 - We will pay for the bears (if necessary) and their shipping/insurance costs. We'd love to adopt them though. Price to be based on bear. Obviously, we don't expect free vintage bears. But, we can't pay $20 per bear either. We're yardsale bear rescuers. But, we will buy vintage bears as well at a resonable price, we adore older bears.
#3 - Bears must be ANY one of the following: cute, cuddly, fluffy, squishy, jointed, miniature/small or just having great personality. In other words, it has to have charm and a twinkle in it's eye. Pictures REALLY appreciated, even if you're not a great photographer. We just want an idea of what they look like....i.e. will they make y roomie's heat melt when we have to lose more seating room to bears.

#4 - Bears may be modern or older. We like all ages.

#5 - Bears may be of any kind of plush, synthetic is just as good as mohair in our book and we have no allergies.

#6 - Bears do not have to have tags.

#7 - Bears may be played with, they should have been played with. It's sweet when they had a life. Need a home for your childhood first teddy? This is it....I still have mine. And every other bear I ever got.

#8 - We don't want the following, sorry:
  • No bears with bright fabric bodies and furry heads...you know, the weird made on bodysuits that won't go away. All cloth patchwork folk artsy bears are ok.
  • No parachute/silk puffalumps (ask me if that makes no sense).
  • No carnie prize bears...the kind made from cloth with stickers for facial features and filled with styrofoam nuggets.
  • No bears over 3 foot tall.

#9 - Helpful info:
  • Descriptions help. Tell us what the bear looks like.
  • Pictures REALLY appreciated. However, your welcome to write us first if you prefer.
  • If selling a "lot/group" of bears, please tell us what each bear looks like.
  • If bear is dressed/wearing clothing, please mention if it is removable. We may like the clothes, but, if not, as long as they come off, we'd be fine.
  • Please tell us condition. Bears that have been played with are fine. However, please mention if any of the bears have rips, stains, etc. or if fur is ruined so we can decide if he's salvagable or not.
#10 - If your bear has a name, please tell us what it is. We need to know what to call him. We don't change their names.
#11 - We are possibly willing to purchase small wooden chairs, rockers, cradles, wagons, etc. to seat bears. Vintage preferred, not newer toy store stuff. If your bear has a favorite chair send it along so he doesn't feel homesick. Also teddy bear pictures/artwork would be welcome. Send details.
